Physics

At Fairfield Intermediate, physics is combined with technology to provide students with the opportunity to think critically about a range of physical phenomenon, develop problem-solving strategies and test possible solutions. By studying physics, students gain an understanding of how everything in the world interacts or occurs.

Students will explore everyday examples of physical phenomena, such as movement, forces, electricity, flight, sound, energy, light and optics. As the students develop their knowledge, they will be able to describe why a specific physical phenomenon occurs. The students learning will prepare them to be able to explain a physical process and demonstrate this process by using models and diagrams.
